Ellen Adler is the proud owner of The Barrie Inn, a trusted pet care business she established in 2002.
With more than two decades of hands-on experience, Ellen has built a strong reputation for providing compassionate, high-quality grooming, training, daycare, and boarding services.
Operating from a spacious 8,000-square-foot facility, The Barrie Inn is supported by an exceptional and dedicated staff committed to ensuring every pet receives attentive, personalized care.
Ellen’s deep love for animals is reflected in every aspect of her work. She is dedicated to creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment where every pet is treated like family.
Carlos is our lead groomer and has five years of professional grooming experience, along with a genuine passion for animal care.
Known for his calm and patient approach, Carlos works confidently with both dogs and cats. His gentle handling makes him an excellent choice for pets who may need additional understanding, patience, or attention during their grooming appointment.

Mabeli is a dedicated and skilled dog groomer who has been providing professional grooming services since 2024.
Known for her gentle approach and attention to detail, she prioritizes the comfort, safety, and well-being of every dog in her care.
Mabeli has experience working with a variety of breeds and coat types. Her services range from routine baths and trims to complete grooming appointments tailored to each dog’s individual needs.
Her calm demeanor helps pets feel more at ease, making grooming a positive experience for dogs and their owners.
Mabeli is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and customer satisfaction so every dog leaves looking and feeling their best.
Desiree joined The Barrie Inn in 2018 after operating her own dog-sitting business.
She is a trained nurse and has become one of our key team members. Desiree supervises our staff, assists with dog training, and is an excellent and experienced dog handler.
In her spare time, she enjoys painting and drawing. Desiree also has a lovely dog named Apples, who often accompanies her to work.
We are grateful to have Desiree on our team. Her experience, leadership, and animal-care skills continue to be a valuable asset to The Barrie Inn.
Chase joined The Barrie Inn in July 2021 as a dog park attendant.
After finishing college, Chase welcomed a German Shorthaired Pointer named Milo into his family. As Milo grew and needed more daily exercise, Chase first came to The Barrie Inn as a daycare client.
After experiencing our facility and services, Chase realized he was more interested in caring for animals than pursuing a traditional corporate career.
Through hard work and dedication, he quickly advanced to Assistant Manager. Chase has demonstrated excellent dog-handling, leadership, organizational, and customer-service skills.
He is loved by both the dogs and their owners.
LeBron is one of our dedicated dog park attendants and a familiar, friendly face around the facility.
Each day, he works diligently to help keep our pet-care areas clean, safe, and welcoming.
His responsibilities go beyond routine maintenance. LeBron is always ready to assist guests, answer questions, provide guidance, and offer a warm smile.
His dependable work and positive attitude help make The Barrie Inn a better experience for pets, clients, and fellow team members.
Sebastian has become an indispensable member of The Barrie Inn team through his consistent dedication, adaptability, and attention to detail.
His willingness to learn and take initiative quickly helped him advance into a leadership role.
Sebastian assists with meal preparation and carefully follows each pet’s feeding schedule and instructions.
He also helps manage the opening and closing procedures of our facility, supporting smooth, organized, and secure daily operations.
Mark joined The Barrie Inn immediately after graduating from high school, bringing a fresh perspective and youthful energy to our team.
As he grew into his position, Mark became a dependable team member and an important part of our pet-care operation.
He regularly helps open the facility early and ensures the pets in our care receive attentive morning care.
Mark takes the time to walk, feed, and care for each pet with patience, compassion, and genuine attention.
We are proud to have a strong team of full-time and part-time dog handlers and pet-care attendants.
Supporting our local community is an important part of The Barrie Inn’s mission. We provide employment opportunities for high school and college students seeking work during school breaks.
We also partner with schools and vocational organizations that provide employment experience and job-skills training for individuals with special needs and abilities.
